Four Seasons Resort and Residences – Napa Valley
Challenge:
The Four Seasons Calistoga is a “One of a kind wine country resort set within a world class vineyard.” Indeed, with Residences and guest rooms this brand new property needed a unique plan to manage waste and recyclables. Our team worked with the local garbage company and the developer Bald Mountain Development to come up with a plan to minimize garbage truck noise and impact, while maximizing recycling and waste diversion.
Solutions:
Installing our Nedland NSC200 Self Contained compactor creates an easy-to-use system for comingled recyclables – cardboard, paper, class, metal and plastic are all deposited into the enclosed compactor. Upper Valley Disposal then takes the material to their MRF (Materials Recycling Facility) to sort and recycle the materials. For Landfill trash (and ultimately compost) the resort also placed our SV2 compactor that efficiently compacts material into an easy-to-service 2 yard bin.
Savings
As the resort is new, we do not have savings numbers to compare, but importantly, the resort has designed a system to save space, maximize waste diversion and streamline their operation at the back of the property.
