Chick-fil-A Palmdale
Challenge
The Chick-fil-A in Palmdale is one of the highest volume stores in the chain. Daily trash was simply overflowing. Even though they compact dining room waste, the restaurant still had a 6 yard bin picked up daily…and still could not keep up. Trash overflowed onto the ground and had to be stored in the trash corral waiting to be added first am to be dumped…an unsighlty, labor intensive hassle with extra cost…
Solution
Working with the owner-operator and team at Chick-Fil-A, Bay Area Trash Compactor provided our high compaction ratio Summit SV3 Direct-stab Compactor. This easy-to-use unit compacts 15-18 loose yards of trash into a 3 yard bin that the local hauler simply stabs with their front-load truck and dumps like a regular bin.
Chick-fil-A Palmdale now only needs pick ups 3 days per week and the owner operator said right after we installed the compactor – “We had the highest volume weekend ever, and for the first time I did not have to worry about trash…”
Glad we could help!
Savings
Labor savings and unsightliness elimination made the system worthwhile for this restaurant. That said, they are saving $1,000s per year on the trash pick ups, and staff can now focus on restaurant-forward work.
