Schools generate loads of waste every day. From cafeteria foodwaste, recyclables and trash to classroom papers and books, properly managing this waste can positively impact both the environment and the future of the school district and it doesn't have to mean an expensive waste management overhaul. Our proven trash compactors, cardboard balers, and organics composters make it easy for school districts to safely and effectively reduce the volume of waste while streamlining waste handling, saving space, beautifying the campus, and reducing their carbon emmissions footprint. Critically, the School District can increase waste diversion and slash it's garbage/recycling costs 35%-75%.

Antioch School District – Lone Tree Elementary

Challenge

Lone Tree Elementary is one of AUSD’s main kitchens providing meals for students and schools nearby. The old compactor was ratty and leaking.

Solutions

Our RENTAL program allowed AUSD to replace the old compactor with a brand new top-of-the-line Nedland NSC100-10 yard compactor without having to use capital budget funds. The proven efficient Nedland compactor holds 42 inches of liquids thus eliminating leaking and making waste management simple for staff. BATC’s RENTAL program is turn-key. All preventive maintenance and service is managed by Bay Area Tras Compactor at no cost to the customer.

Benefits

Eliminated smelly, leaking old compactor. Provided top-of-the-line system with no capital investment. No maintenance or service expense for the life of the rental program.
