Pleasanton’s AC Marriott (formerly the Sheraton Pleasanton) went through an extensive remodel. As part of the Remodel plan Bay Area Trash Compactor worked with the ownership and management team to understand how trash and recyclables were handled throughout the property.

Because boxes were delivered and supplies shelved in the back of the property, we installed our M42BC baler that crushes 150 boxes into an easy-to-handle 185-200 lb bale for recycling. The baler eliminated the need to manually flatten boxes and eliminated the old cardboard bin that was constantly overflowing and an eyesore to guests looking out over the back of the property.

For trash, previously the hotel had an old leaking self-contained compactor located adjacent to the swimming pool – Smell…yyy…Instead, BATC replaced the old compactor with the small-footprint SV2 Compactor that packs 12 loose yards of housekeeping and kitchen waste into a 2 yard bin that is serviced by a traditional garbage truck…The SV2 saved space and moved the trash and compost area away from the swimming pool streamlining waste handling and saving 55% off the previous trash bill.
